Hi, I’m Ilyana — the face (and heart) behind GeminisK9 Services.

Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs and spent over a decade riding horses. That time in the saddle taught me patience, communication, and how to work in harmony with another being — lessons that have carried over seamlessly into my dog training.

My real passion for training began when I brought home my own dog, Maverick. As a puppy, he was sweet and eager to please, but once he hit adolescence, the “problem child” side came out in full force. Navigating that stage with him was both challenging and rewarding — and it opened my eyes to just how much I loved the process of helping a dog grow into their best self.

I began my career working for a corporate dog training company, where I gained valuable experience but also saw the limitations of a one-size-fits-all approach. I knew I wanted to offer something more personal — training built around each dog’s individual needs, personality, and potential. That’s when GeminisK9 Services was born. The name is inspired by both my star sign and Maverick’s, a little nod to the partnership that started it all.

I view every dog as a distinct individual and an active member of our society — not just “an animal” to be managed or tolerated. They deserve to be understood, respected, and guided in a way that allows them to truly belong.

My mission is to build real relationships with every client who comes my way and to create lasting change for both ends of the leash. Whether your dog is struggling with manners, confidence, or bigger behavioral challenges, I’m here to guide you toward a happier, more harmonious life together.
